The Institute’s research teams have a strong commitment to graduate and post graduate education and training. Ph.D. candidates carry out their dissertation research under the supervision of the Institute’s researchers. Due to the interdisciplinary character of the research programs, degrees are awarded in collaboration with Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy and Physics Departments. The Institute offers four courses yearly in advanced topics in Molecular Biology, Radiopharmacy and Immunochemistry. Some of the Institute’s recent Ph.D. graduates have gone on to postdoctoral positions at Universities in Europe and the US while others pursue careers in the Greek pharmaceutical industry.

Many of the Institute’s Researchers are Visiting Professors in Graduate Programs of Greek University Departments. Through educational programs sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency, the Institute provides training in Radiopharmaceutical and Radiodiagnostic Technologies to researchers and professionals from countries of Latin America, Africa and Asia

For 2007 the total number of graduate students was 27, of whom 12 were recipients of the NCSR “Demokritos” Graduate Fellowship.

Please visit the web page of the Office of Graduate Education of NCSR Demokritos for more information, including announcements for upcoming exams for NCSR "D" graduate fellowships.
